DRIvIN' RAIN's bassist is Skully Shemwell. Skully first picked up the bass as a child in school. And began writing songs by the 7th Grade. He was born May 18, 1975. and also now lives in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Shemwell's bass influences are Cliff Burton, Rachel Bolan, Nikki Sixx, Duff "Rose" McKagen, and Jason Newstead. He learned well from these influences, as he doesnt play the bass, he assaults it with a untameable fury. Skully is also a published poet through College journals and national contests, with works published in: Treasured Poems of America – Fall, 1997 and Head to Hand college journal – Vol.1, 1996; Vol. 5, 2000. In 2007 Shemwell starred in the feature film "Miller's Tale" where he played Jasper. After completing "Miller's Tale" he played a completely different role as a science geek in the 48 hour film "Insectinside". He recently did a roll in the film "Fire Lily" that is set for a 2008 release. But at heart Skully is a true breed rocker. Skully's live shows are all out energy explosions. His wild antics and hyper fever is transferd to the crowd as they cant help but to rock with him.
